Dentist Examing Teeth

Why do you have a stained teeth?

You can try the methods i have mentioned in the previous post first.  If you still do not get shinier teeth then you might have one or more of the following problems.

  • Your teeth must be very badly stained that our home made treatments could not cure.
  • If you are below the age of 15 our whitening treatment might just not work for you. At this age the yellow stains usually go off by brushing extra carefully.
  • If you’re allergic to baking soda, hydrogen peroxide or any other ingredients of any part of the remedial tips, then do not try them.
  • If you are pregnant then it is not recommended to use any chemicals at that time, so please do not try.
  • If you have any gum related diseases or oral problems then the treatment will not work.
  • Please do not try using chemicals such as hydrogen peroxide if you have composite fillings.
  • If you have gray teeth by birth then it is not recommended for you to try such experiments.

The Solution

The only solution is to visit your dentist and ask for his advice.

Smile With White Teeth

You have already got shiny white teeth or used any one of our methods to achieve your shiny white teeth but would stop it from staining and stay white then follow these tips to stay white.
  • Avoid coffee, tea, sodas, wine, cranberry juice and any other drink that contains caffeine.
  • Even if you drink these avoid excess contact with the liquid by using a straw.
  • Avoid acidic foods, chocolates, flavored water and milk; the acid content may actually erode your enamel slowly.
  • If you eat acidic food then balance them by eating neutral foods or take a acidity regulator.
  • Brush your teeth after eating or drink stainable items or at least rinse your mouth with a mouthwash for 2 minutes I prefer chlorhexidene mouth washes as it possess anti.plaque properties and yellow stains could be avoided.
  • Take calcium and mineral supplements or simply add them to your diet. Eggs and milk (not flavored) contain calcium in higher extents. So make sure you eat an egg a day. It will strengthen your enamel.
  • Drink plenty of water, eat vegetables, cucumber, carrots, these act as a natural scrub that will erode all the dirt in the teeth.
  • Do not smoke and do not chew betel nuts.
  • Chewing sugar free gum after meals will also help you resolve oral problems as well as maintain pH level of your mouth.
  • As mentioned in previous post using a soft brush will also help you.
  • Floss Daily.

But beware it may lead you to a sensitive teeth. You can follow the following tips forget a dazzling teeth at your home and at a comparatively less cost.

USE A SOFT BRUSH

Using a soft brush instead of medium and hard ones will not erode your enamel and remove the the shine.

BRUSH LONGER

Instead of using a hard brush for 2-3 minutes try using a soft brush for a longer time. It is recommended to brush at least for 10 minutes every time.

BRUSH TWICE OR THRICE:

Brushing twice is good but three is even better. This is the best way to keep all your stains and oral problems at bay. Brushing twice or thrice is ensures your mouth is bacteria free. We recommend you to brush early morning after your lunch and before going to bed at least 7-10 minutes every time.

SHOULD YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT TOOTHPASTE?

Tooth paste acts only as a lubricant. They don't make much a difference. So its left to you to choose your favorite one. But using teeth whitening tooth paste will accelerate the process.

USE BAKING POWDER PASTE:

  • You can use this home made baking powder paste to get a twinkling teeth.
  • Mix baking powder and hydrogen peroxide and apply the mixture over your teeth.
  • Allow it to stay on your teeth for a while.
  • Then brush afterwards.
  • You get shinier teeth after every brushing.

But if you are hesitant on using the paste try gargling with a 1:1 mixture of water and hydrogen peroxide. This will remove the yellow stains on your teeth. But be careful not to swallow the solution.

TEETH WHITENING GEL KITS

Teeth whitening gel kits are a good option. this is the next best option if you do not really want to visit your dentist. These will help you achieve your desired shine in less than 15 days.
If you think the gel kits are a bit expensive then you could prefer white strips. They are a good option but may take little longer to get a healthy white teeth.

What Is Irradiated Food? Is It Safe?

Irradiation is a process that exposes food to electronic beams that create positive and negative charges, which are thought to destroy almost all of bacteria that can result in food poisoning.

Foods that have been irradiated by the BARC in India as part of their research include potatoes, onions, spices, mangoes and shellfish. This has been shown to extend shelf life.

The U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) says irradiated food is safe, but the Center for Food Safety (USA) says irradiation may change the make up of food, increasing levels of chemicals such as benzene that are associated with cancer and may decrease the food's vitamin content.

International regulations demand that all irradiated foods be labeled (some may be labeled as "cold pasteurized" or "electronically pasteurized"). The irradiation symbol on food packaging is radura, which resembles a flower.
