How To Make Your Life Happy

Here are15 practical steps towards making your life happy forever.

15 PRACTICAL STEPS TOWARDS MAKING LIFE HAPPY FOREVER

WAKE UP BEFORE SUNRISE:

Wake up before break of the day or 6 am whichever is earlier. Getting late to bed the previous night is no excuse for spending more time in bed.

EXERCISE DAILY:

Spend minimum of 45 minutes walking or doing workouts at least 5 days a week. If it rains, pick up your umbrella and go for the walk.

ALWAYS POSTPONE SPENDING MONEY:

Before buying anything ask these questions to yourself
  • Do I really need it?
  • Can I manage without it?
  • If I need it and cannot manage it, can you wait till tomorrow?

NEVER POSTPONE SAVING OR INVESTING MONEY:

If you get some money unexpectedly, proceed straight to your bank and deposit in your/ spouse/ child’s account. Do not keep cash except for urgent or daily chores like commuting, refreshments and small medicine.

NEVER TOUCH A CREDIT CARD:

Happy Family Tips
In fact do not get one. There is nothing called judicial or clever use of credit cards. Credit card companies are always more clever than any customer. Credit card is not a status symbol. It is only a debt trap. Hundreds and thousands of good, decent people have seen their life and career ruined by using credit cards. If you have a card and dues on it, borrow money from any other source and close the card account immediately to save your family.

SPEND TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY:

Spend at least one day in a week exclusively with your family. If you don’t do it now, you may never get a chance later in your life, when the children grow up.

RESPECT YOUR FAMILY:

Your wife and children are not objects owned by you. They are human beings like you. They have feelings, emotions, ambitions, likes and dislikes. Treat them with respect. Don’t impose your thoughts on them. Let them grow on their own. Give them advice only when they ask you.

MIND YOUR WORDS:

Never get angry with friends, family and colleagues. If they commit mistakes, allow them to realize it. One mistake, one error, one slip does not make up the person. Ignore comments made in anger or under the influence of alcohol.

DO NOT SPIT IN PUBLIC PLACES:

It is meanest thing to do in the open. It is also a very bad habit from the health point of view. Dangerous germs take off from the saliva to affect innocent people, especially children.

TALK LESS ON THE MOBILE PHONE:

Radiation from these phones and towers (base stations) affect health. Conditions from mild headaches to serious brain cancers have been attributed to use of cellphones. Make your calls short. Avoid unnecessary talk. Even when you are requires talking to or listening in for a long duration, cutting the call every 3 minutes and resuming after 1 minute’s break.

RELY ON ALLOPATHY:

For medical emergencies, rely only on allopathy medicine and treatment. Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, Homeopathy and other systems of treatments have not been as scientifically and clinically tested or certified as allopathy (English medicine). These are called alternative systems. Many people find these beneficial.  But they require long and sustained treatment under supervision. Don’t change from ones system of treatment/ medicine to another without proper medical advice. Even then you have to wait a few days before switch over.

EAT FRUITS AND VEGETABLES:

Eat 250 grams of fruits and 250 grams of vegetables every day. They could be in any form: cooked side dish, soup, juice, raw, steamed, salad dried but not fried in oil. Reduce oil and salt as much as possible.

TAKE A BREAK:

If you do your job sitting on a chair, get up from your seat every one hour, walk around for 5 minutes, stretch your limbs and resume work. If looking at the monitor is your job, spend 3 minutes every hour to massage your eyes. Close them, place your clean hand kerchief over the eyelids, remain motionless and resume work.

SMILE ALWAYS:

Keep smiling all the time. It does not cost you anything. But you gain a lot by that. Looking cheerful is the invitation to success.  Be polite to others. When asking something, say “please” .When somebody gives or delivers anything to you – let it be the porter, auto driver or lift operator – say “Thank you”. You will see your image grow among others.
